Continuing the tradition of supporting the next generation of purine and pyrimidine investigators, for PP15, a number of Young Investigator Grants will be available These have been made possible through a generous donation by Purine Metabolic Patients’ Association (PUMPA) and through the funds of the Purine Pyrimidine Society. The maximum amount for these grants will be $800. PUMPA will provide separate grants only for UK students; for these grants UK candidates should contact PUMPA via Professor David Perrett [d.perrett@qmul.ac.uk].
For the other grants (the PUMPA $800 and the PPS $800), the following procedure will apply:
A limited number of young investigator awards are available to graduate students and post-docs having received their scientific or medical degree within the last 2 years.
The candidates should be working in the laboratory of a PPS member in good standing (e.g. having paid membership fee) (see www.ppsociety.org).
